O God of Jacob!
Happy are we! Joyful are we! Blessed are we! Thankful and grateful are we! When we think of your goodness. When we think of all that you have done. How can we not worship you. How can we not praise you. How can us who believe not consider, stand steadfast and hold on to your Word.
“Praise the LORD! Let all that I am praise the LORD. I will praise the LORD as long as I live. I will sing praises to my God with my dying breath.
“Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. When they breathe their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them.
“But joyful (happy and blessed) are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the LORD their God.
“He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever.
“He gives justice to the oppressed and food to the hungry. The LORD frees the prisoners.
“The LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly.
“The LORD protects the foreigners among us. He cares for the orphans and widows, but he frustrates the plans of the wicked.
“The LORD will reign forever. He will be your God, O Jerusalem (America and the Nations), throughout the generations. Praise the LORD!”
Psalms 146:1-10
Joyful! Happy! Blessed are we as we take your Word and apply it to our hearts. We take your Word and put it on the door posts of our homes and businesses. We take your Word and wear it as a mantle of protection. We take your Word and wield it against our enemies!
O Yes! Happy are we today! We serve the Most High God of the universe who sits on the throne. Who controls it all. Who sees it all. Who is in the middle of it all.
You made the earth, the mountains and the seas. Happy are we! You made the sun and the skies; the moon and the stars. Happy are we!
You made us in your image and breathed your breath within us. Happy are we! You have placed your love upon us. Happy are we!
You gave us your Son to die for our sins! Happy are we! You have given us life, light, hope, help, freedom, salvation and so much more.
You! O LORD Most High! You will reign forever and ever! O Hallelujah! Our hearts sing out in joyful song. Happy are we!
