Help us, O Holy Spirit of God.
Help your church. The people. The pastors. The prophets. Bind us together with cords that cannot be broken. Step into our midst and reveal yourself. Reveal your goodness and your glory.
“Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous;
“not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.
“For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit.
“Let him turn away (shun, decline, avoid, separate, depart and reverse) from evil and do good; Let him seek (do, perceive, be aware, consider and understand) peace and pursue it.
“For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil.” I Peter 3:8-12
Help us, O Comforter! Help us to understand the evil days we are living in. To understand the signs of the time. To not be deceived and lulled to sleep like tiny children. But to stand up! To stand strong and not fear! To RESTRAIN AND RESIST the enemy from within and without!
“And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good?
“But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.”
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;
“having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.
“For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.”
I Peter 3:13-17
Thank you Holy Spirit for giving us the strength to stand against the howling hounds from hell. Thank you for giving us the strength to do what is good, right, pure and holy.
Father. As we walk through the perilous times. We push back. We stand against. We RESIST! We humbly submit ourselves under your mighty hand knowing that you will work all things out for our good as we stand against the evil.
We will be sober. We will be vigilant Because You said, “your adversary the devil walks about LIKE a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. RESIST HIM, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
“But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
“To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
I Peter 5:8-11
Yes! To God be the Glory. Great things he has done. Greater things he will do. So we will stand strong. We will stand in faith believing. We will not bend. We will not bow. We will RESIST!
