Father God.
We thank you for Jesus! The Life Giving Word. Son of Man. Son of God. Friend to Sinners. Redeemer, Deliverer and Devil Defeater.
The One who wielded the Word against the enemy.
The One who was confronted by the devil in the wilderness.
The One who said NO!
“Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “IF You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
“But He answered and said, “IT IS WRITTEN, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:3-4
This same Jesus said NO AGAIN!
“Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
“and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’”
Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’” Matthew 4:6-7
And Jesus said NO AGAIN!
“Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”
“Then Jesus said to him, “AWAY WITH YOU, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’” Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.” Matthew 4:3-11
O Jesus! We take You at Your Word! We say NO to the devil! We say NO to his demonic schemes. We say NO to his lies and deception. We say NO to his minions of doom and gloom. We say NO to the enemy of our souls!
We declare! We will not bow down to the darkness. We will not bend to tyranny. We will NOT COMPLY to the darkness and evil. We take the Word of God and shine the Light and wield it against the enemy!
We will follow you, Jesus! Wherever you go. Wherever you lead. We will follow you Jesus! We say! America will follow Jesus. Israel will follow Jesus. The Nations will follow Jesus.
“And leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
“The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles: The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death LIGHT HAS DAWNED.” Matthew 4:13-16
O Hallelujah for the dawning of the Light! We are ALL “the people” who were sitting in darkness. The Light has dawned for all of us - the human race! We are the descendants of Abraham who was the descendant of Noah. The descendant of Adam formed by the hand and breath of Yahweh!
We are the Children of the Light! We refuse the darkness being crammed down our throats. We say! Get thee behind us Satan! We shut our ears to your voice! We turn our face from you! We push back against you! We resist you! You have no choice but to flee!
We stand in the authority of the LORD and declare his goodness, his mercy, his truth, his light and his way!
We declare! WE are the salt of the earth. WE are the city on the hill that cannot be hidden. WE are the light on the lampstand giving light to the world. This is who we are. This is what we do!
We declare the Word of the LORD!
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
So be it! In Jesus name. Amen!
