The "circus acts" that have been going on in churches across America at Christmas are just astounding, ridiculous, very disturbing and very disheartening. But what does the Bible say? God is not surprised or caught off guard.
1 Timothy 4:1 - Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
We must be discerning during these perilous and latter times. As watchmen on the wall, we need to spread the truth that Jesus Christ reigns.
That He alone is Supreme.
That He is our Saviour.
That He is our Soon Coming King!
That we find truth ONLY in the Word of God. Not from the mouths of deceivers, false prophets and wolves in sheep's clothing. We must ask the Holy Spirit to give us discernment!
It is so encouraging to GET INTO THE WORD and find comfort and encouragement to give to each other when things look bleak and dark (I Thessalonians 4:17). Jesus is still the light of the world! O Hallelujah!
Jesus alone is Our BLESSED HOPE and we look forward with great anticipation for the appearing of Jesus Christ when he will catch us away and take us out of this mess that we find ourselves in. Oh what a happy day!
I Thessalonians 4:17 (NKJV) Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
