We shake our heads in scorn at the recent events in Afghanistan.
We stand in complete and utter disbelief at the incompetence, despondency and dereliction of duty by this false resident and his false regime.
We stand aghast at those in high military command who have bowed down to the enemy, ran away and left Americans behind.
We stand united in prayer and unity for our 13 brave military men and women whose lives were taken. For their grieving families. For our suffering brothers and sisters. For the innocent lives that have been lost at the hands of these terrorists.
We pray for this weak and emaciated government in America. We pray that they will be moved upon by the Spirit of God. That they would repent for their sins. That they would call upon the Name of Jesus and be saved. That they would turn their backs upon evil. That they would be brought to justice for the lives lost.
And not only for Afghanistan, but the lives lost due to their complicity in this covid plandemic, their constant fear mongering and withholding the truth from the people. We declare that every lie will be exposed. We declare that the truth will be revealed.
O LORD! Come in your power and might and swipe these demonic enemies from the face of the earth. Surround and protect your own! Protect the innocent! Protect the children! Make ways of escape in the wilderness. Make known the paths that your people who have been stranded in this hell hole should take to escape the wrath of these despots.
We know that perilous times are upon us. We know that your Word is being fulfilled in these end times. But we still call upon the Name of the LORD who is worthy of our praise! We know that you are “close to the broken-hearted and you rescue those whose spirits are crushed.” Be with the grieving families. Comfort them and give them peace.
O Merciful Father. Hide us in the shelter of your wings. Protect our comings and goings. Go before us and make the crooked paths straight. Be the candle in the darkness. Be the light on the path to guide our feet. Be our song in the night. Be our sword and shield. Be our vindicator of ALL the wrongs done against us and make them right!
“But God himself will shoot them with his arrows, suddenly striking them down. Their own tongues will ruin them, and all who see them will shake their heads in scorn.” Psalms 64:7-8
“He subdues the nations before us, putting our enemies beneath our feet.”
“O LORD, oppose those who oppose me. Fight those who fight against me. Put on your armor, and take up your shield. Prepare for battle, and come to my aid. Lift up your spear and javelin against those who pursue me. Let me hear you say, “I will give you victory!”
“Bring shame and disgrace on those trying to kill me; turn them back and humiliate those who want to harm me. Blow them away like chaff in the wind— a wind sent by the angel of the Lord.
“Make their path dark and slippery, with the angel of the LORD pursuing them. I did them no wrong, but they laid a trap for me. I did them no wrong, but they dug a pit to catch me.
“So let sudden ruin come upon them! Let them be caught in the trap they set for me! Let them be destroyed in the pit they dug for me.” Psalms 35:1-8
“Calamity will surely destroy the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be punished. But the LORD will redeem those who serve him. No one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.” Psalms 34:21-22
We stand on the Word of the LORD. We stand before you redeemed. We stand before you grateful that you have heard our prayers. We stand before you as your children. We look to you. We trust in you. We love you. We praise your righteous and your holy name. All of our hope is in you.
“He will cause justice to be victorious. And his name will be the hope of all the world.” Matthew 12:20-21
Even in this storm. Even in the darkness. Even in confusion and chaos. Even when it seems all hope is gone. We stand secure because you have given us the victory! For that we are thankful. For that we give you praise. Of this one thing we are sure. You are the Hope of the world! Selah.
In Jesus name. Amen.
