We Will Run

Merciful Father.

How we love you. How we look to you. How we need you. We cling to your Word. We hold onto your hand. We set our gaze toward you and we look into your eyes. You are hope. You are help. You are the refreshing streams to our weary souls in this dry weary land. Selah.

Even in the shaking we cling to you. We know that you are moving among us. You hold close those that you love. You will dwell with us. You will not leave us or forsake us. You are with us. You have told us over and over. Do not be afraid. We do not fear man or his ways. We fear you and you alone. You are the rock on which we stand!

You are the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. You have done great and mighty deeds. Too marvelous for us to even try to understand. You make ways where there are no ways. You part seas. You go before and behind. You send the rain. You send the fire. You are the giver of life. You are the sustainer of all things. You are the lifter of our heads! Oh yes!

Oh Strong God. Lift us up today! Lift us up to new heights in you. The enemy tries to squash us like bugs. He is trying to push us down and grind us to dust. He is trying to pulverize this Nation. We declare! You are stronger. You are bigger. You are better. You are God!

Lift up America. Lift up President Trump and Vice President Pence. Lift up tired champions of care. Tired truck drivers. Tired moms and dads. Tired police officers. Lift us up above the shadows and set our feet on higher ground. Yes! Set our feet on higher ground.

Almighty One. We know you see us. Oh yes! You! Oh creator of the heavens and earth. You created the stars and you know them by name. You bring each one out night after night. Because of your great power and because of your incomparable strength. Not one is missing! How much more do you love us. We are your special chosen ones. And just like the stars, you know us all by name.

Oh Church! Oh America! He sees our troubles. Oh! Yes he does. Wake up! Wake up and hear the Word of the Lord. Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his infinite understanding.

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They will run and not be weary. They will walk and not faint.

Almighty God. We pray. We wait. We look. We listen for your voice. We anticipate your move! We place all these things in your strong and capable hands. Give us new strength to face this battle that seems to loom with no end. Give us new strength for today! Give us new strength to stand when it seems everyone else bows. Invigorate us with your strength. We say! We will not grow weary. We will not faint. We will run!

We will run this race. We will pursue the enemy. We will chase him down! We will be victorious. In the name of Jesus. We will press into the call that you have given us. We will not look to the left or to the right. We run straight to you. We will not be blown about by the winds of change.

We will not be persuaded to believe the lies of the worldly culture that surrounds us. We will not! We do not apologize for who God made us to be. We do not bow to man! We do not bend our knees to anyone but Jesus Christ! We will not bend. We will not bow.

We will run this race for Jesus Christ and him alone. And we run with all of our might!
