Heavenly Father.
We sing the Word of the Lord over ourselves. Over our children and grandchildren. Over our churches and communities across America. We sing a new song of deliverance. A new song of hope. Your radiant presence surrounds us and we grow in your strength, grace and glory.
How amazing is your love. How precious are your thoughts toward us. How wonderful are your ways! How delightful are your words! How lovely is your dwelling place! Selah.
O Lord of Heaven’s Armies. I long, yes, I faint with longing to enter the courts of the Lord. With my whole being, body and soul, I will shout joyfully to the living God. We shout with a voice of triumphant. We shout with a voice of praise. We shout as children of the Most High. He will not leave us destitute or forsaken. Oh no! He will not!
O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, my King and my God! What joy for those who can live in your house, always singing your praises. What joy for those whose strength comes from the Lord, who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. Oh yes! We have set our minds on you. We journey straight to your heart, oh Father. We will sit in your courts. We will bask in your presence. We will sing you a song.
We have determined to trust you to save America. We have determined to trust you to give victory to our President in the upcoming election. We have determined to trust you to remove this plague from among us. We are determined! We say again! We are determined and have set our minds on you! Oh yes! We will not be dismayed. We will not be discouraged. We will not doubt. We. Will. Not.
We cast aside the enemy as he kicks and screams. He can howl and growl like a wounded dog. We will not be threatened. We will not fear. We will not move. We are standing in the shadow of your might. Yes! In the shadow of your might. You will not let us down. You will not forsake us. You will not forget your promises. They are for a thousand generations. You said so!
We declare! When we walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings. Send the rain! Send the rain! Send the rain! Wash away the sin. Wash away the stains. Wash away the enemy. We will continue to grow stronger as we march toward our God. Drenched in his life giving flow. Hallelujah!
What a promise! In our weeping, come and refresh us. Refresh us. Refresh us. We call forth the refreshing springs of your spirit. Rain down your blessings. Rain down your goodness. Rain down your strength and power over us. Rain down courage. Rain down healing. Rain down freedom.
Oh Merciful One. Show favor on us! You are our sun and shield. You give us grace and glory. You will withhold no good thing from those who love you. We claim your precious promises today. We lay hold of them. We cling to your Word. We seek you with our whole hearts. We won’t let go of you.
Come and dwell among us. Come and dwell in your church. Come and dwell in America. Oh! Lord of the Heaven’s Armies. We long to sit with you in your dwelling place. Come and dwell. Selah.
