Peace.

Writer: CherylCheryl

Father God.

Thank you for your promises. They are yes and amen. Thank you for your goodness to America. Thank you for your protection over President Trump and Vice President Pence. Thank you for this peaceful day of remembrance. Thank you for all that you have done and all that you will do.

We remind ourselves of your peace. We speak peace over America. We speak peace over families and marriages. We speak peace over business owners and those seeking work. We speak peace over the most vulnerable still tucked away alone in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

We speak peace to those that have been duped and terrified by the deceptions of covid by the fear mongering media. We speak peace to parents and teachers. We speak peace especially to the children caught in the middle of this covid nightmare. Jesus! Come and wrap your peaceful arms around the children and whisper peace.

We speak peace to those who have lost loved ones from the attacks of our yesterdays. We speak peace to the present day attacks from domestic terrorists. We speak peace to all those affected by the events of the current days and the days gone by from violence, terrorists or sickness.

Jesus! You are the peace speaker. You knew this fallen world would continue to flounder and fall. So you gave us words of peace and comfort to soothe our troubled hearts and minds in the midst of terror, turmoil and the storms of life.

Jesus. You said! Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. Oh! What a day when Jesus comes. When he splits the Eastern sky and calls us home. But until then you have given us a helper, the Holy Spirit who was sent in your name. O Jesus! Thank you for the helper.

But until that day comes. We will not let our hearts be troubled. We will occupy this heavenly kingdom here on earth. We will lift up the name of Jesus. We will proclaim his kingdom come and his will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

We will not be afraid. When the storms of life rush over us we will not let them in. You! Oh Holy One. You are able to keep us. You are able to protect us. You are able to sustain us. You have kept us in the past. You will keep us in the future. We will rest in your promise of peace.

In Jesus name. Amen.
