Today we FIX OUR EYES on Jesus. We plant our feet in faith that Our God is working, moving, restoring, removing dead things and bringing good things to life!
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
“We do this by KEEPING OUR EYES ON JESUS, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.” Hebrews 12:1-2
O Hallelujah! We serve the Champion! We serve the Son of Righteousness who rises with healing in his wings!
We say to the enemy of the people and the enemy of our souls! We shut you up! We shut out your distractions. We shut out your noise. We shut out everything that would draw us from the truth. We shut out fear. We shut out the lies and deception. We shut out the incessant talking heads.
O LORD! Help us to run OUR race with our eyes and ears attuned to You! Then we won’t get weary. Then we won’t give up. Then we won’t fall for the distractions and deception of the evil one. Then we won’t wander around lost, fearful and full of worry.
We FIX OUR EYES on Jesus and we look full in his wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace!
“So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong.” Hebrews 12:12-13
We pickup your Word and make our plans from there. We follow your leading and your guidance. We must stay focused on you in these troubled times. We place our hand in the hand of the man from Galilee. We follow his footsteps. We heed his voice alone. We look for the footprints of Jesus in the sand.
We rebuke the mind bending attempts of the devil to WEAR US OUT with his demonic nonsense and foolishness. Our eyes are fixed on Jesus. Our thoughts are fixed on Jesus. We stand firm and secure. We are clothed in the Armor of God. Clothed in righteousness. Clothed in holiness. Clothed in truth. His Word is our victory banner and he goes before us making every crooked path straight.
Yahweh! We know that we are not of this world. We are of the Kingdom of God. Ever pressing forward. Ever pressing “toward the mark of the high calling of Jesus Christ.” Make us strong! Give us courage! Give us boldness! Give us eyes to see and ears to hear. Give your Church discernment and endue us with power from on high. Send your Holy Ghost anointing and wash over us from head to toe.
As we stay focused on you Jesus, we place this world in your delivering hands. We give you America. We give you Afghanistan. We give you the Nations. We give you our cares and concerns. We lay them at your feet, Jesus.
O Savior of the world!
O Deliverer of the captives!
O Redeemer and Resurrected One!
You are the light of the world and in You there is no darkness. You are the way. The truth. The life. You are the bread of life! You are the Cornerstone! You are the Alpha and Omega. The beginning and the end. The first and the last.
Through your name and by your power, we will not be shaken by the events that shake the world! We fix our eyes on you, Jesus! We encourage ourselves in you, Jesus. We believe in you, Jesus.
It’s in your name that the mountains tremble and are cast into the sea.
It’s in your name that demons must flee.
It’s in your name that one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that you are the risen LORD!
We wait for that day with our eyes fixed on You! There is no retreat. There is no withdrawal. We are moving forward! We will occupy and posses the land until you bring that glorious day to pass!
So be it! In Jesus name.
